Understanding Safeguarding and Prevent NCFE CACHE Level 2 Cert

Official data showed that over 7,500 people were referred to the Prevent programme in 2015/16. This purpose of this qualification is to support anyone who is responsible for the safeguarding of people and for helping prevent radicalisation. It gives learners an understanding of recognising the signs of abuse, how to reduce the risk of radicalisation and the potential consequences of illegal online activity.

The learner support materials will be made up of three workbooks that will cover:

  •  Understanding the Prevent Duty; Understand the prevent duty ; Understand the terms radicalisation, extremism and terrorism; Understand how to reduce the risk of radicalisation
  •  Understanding Safeguarding ; Understand the term safeguarding; Understand the national and local context of safeguarding and protection from abuse
  •  Understanding Online Safety; Understand the potential consequences of inappropriate or illegal online activity; Understand how to reduce the risks posed online
